AI Fluency Score
As AI increasingly embeds itself into strategic planning and the Board and ExCo agenda, and as our own business, Perigon, was running more on AI foundations, we needed a structured way to answer the question: how AI-fluent is each of the Perigon team? And how fluent do they need to be? We built an internal six-level scale to define AI fluency for senior executives and strategists and give us a structured way of upskilling the team.
See where you sit on our scale by answering fifteen yes / no questions, which take about five minutes.
Below level three you are using AI tools. Above it you are building systems that are based on them. Crossing that line is what let us build the tools on this site, and it is why a CEO who has never attempted to build anything struggles to judge whether their technology team's roadmap is ambitious or merely busy.
Boards are expected to be financially literate, digitally literate and conversant in corporate law. AI literacy is now arriving on that list faster than anything before it. A director does not need to build the thing, any more than they need to build the financial model, but they do need to follow what is being claimed and know which of the claims are load bearing. That requires a level of fluency in this general purpose technology, beyond conversational prompting.
One score starts a conversation. The collective picture across everyone who signs off your AI strategy is the marker that matters, and we can help you run a session for your Board or ExCo.
