Our inaugural UK FI Sustainability Reporting Benchmark reviews 51 banks, building societies, and fintechs, examining what they are disclosing across five dimensions: materiality, strategy integration, environmental reporting, climate targets, and carbon credits.
This is the first edition of what is now an annual benchmark. It was produced to give leaders and sustainability teams in UK financial services an independent, structured view of where the sector stands, and to help institutions benchmark their own approach against peers.
Later editions expanded the scope. The 2025 Barometer added strategy quality and AI maturity alongside an interactive data explorer, and the 2026 edition covers 60 firms on transition planning, financed emissions, climate targets, nature and carbon. Read the current ESG Banking Barometer.
