Emma Tottenham Perigon Co-Founder & Partner

Emma has a breadth of sustainability, communications and strategy expertise, developed most recently as Group Corporate Communications and Sustainability Director for one of the UK’s largest banks. She joined Youdo as an advisory Board Member in 2023. The company helps to accelerate the adoption of, and engagement with, ESG by placing it at the centre of employee experience through its online platform.

She has deep experience of establishing a comprehensive ESG strategy, operating model and communications agenda from scratch in a highly regulated environment and embedding it across a FTSE250 organisation and its stakeholders. She is well versed in designing and implementing strategic plans and ESG initiatives at an enterprise and business unit level, and developing and executing the supporting strategic narrative through media relations, public affairs and internal communications. 

Prior to founding Perigon Partners, Emma was a member of the Executive Leadership Team for a FTSE250 company and Board Director for a large UK digital fundraising platform.

Emma has a first class honours degree in Physics from the University of St Andrews and is a Chartered Accountant.

Nick Walford Co-founder and Partner

Nick has over 25 years of financial services experience, including 15 years focusing on corporate development, establishing and leading teams in the definition and implementation of organic and inorganic strategic plans. 


He has held Head of Strategy roles at FTSE100 and FTSE250 companies, leading strategic and financial planning, and in disciplines such as enterprise, partnership, cost and digital strategy development.

Nick also has significant experience in M&A strategy evolution and execution, and led the team throughout CYBG's £1.6bn acquisition of Virgin Money in 2018 to create the UK’s 6th largest bank.

His early career at JPMorgan was in equity and equity derivative markets. 

Nick has held a range of NED roles on UK financial services Boards, has an MBA from The Australian Graduate School of Management in Sydney and a degree in Geography from Newcastle University.

Laura McNeil Sustainability Consultant

Laura has a range of sustainability, strategy and transformational business change experience, developed most recently as a Sustainability Manager for a large UK bank.

With a passion for creating inclusive and sustainable organisations, Laura has worked within the many components of ESG – often operating cross-functionally to successfully embed ESG strategy. She has led the charge on organisations’ approach to human rights management and is experienced in integrating ESG within annual reporting and other disclosures.

Previously a Leadership Graduate for a FTSE250 company, Laura has a varied set of skills that have seen her lead in disciplines such as cost reduction, strategic and operating model development, data analysis, management information creation, product development and customer acquisition.

She has prior experience managing international clients’ portfolios from trading execution to settlement within equity derivative markets at a FTSE100 company.

Laura is accredited in Commercial Lending and has an Honours degree in Law with Business from the University of Stirling. She continues to give back to the University by supporting students keen to explore non-practising careers.
